I’d make sure to explain to her about the food situatuion before hand, and if the worst does come to the worst, make sure you’re prepared! Keep some snacks with you just in case.
And as for the glucagon stuff, and long-winded explanations? I’d keep that a mother to mother thing. Your friend’s mum’ll know what it means to your mum to make sure you’re safe, and I’m sure will be keen to make sure she can do that. Sorry it’s so late, I hope this helps!
