I need some advice.
See, My friend wants to have a sleepover with me at some point during the summer. But I'm afraid to said yes...
It would be my first sleepover since I was diagnosed a year and a half ago, and I foresee so many problems. D:
With me, sleeping at different times than I'm used to (going to bed later than usual, and sleeping later than usual.) mess with my blood sugar A LOT.
And there's also the fact that she's kind of a new friend, and doesn't know much about diabetes, nor does her family.
Also, I don't want to have to explain that I can't live off of Doritos the entire night.
I also don't want to have to explain to her and her family how to use a glucagon shot... she's TERRIFIED of needles and such things... (My mom would make me bring it and everything.)
Do you, or anyone else have any advice on what I should do?

I’m so sorry I haven’t replied sooner!
I’d make sure to explain to her about the food situatuion before hand, and if the worst does come to the worst, make sure you’re prepared! Keep some snacks with you just in case.
And as for the glucagon stuff, and long-winded explanations? I’d keep that a mother to mother thing. Your friend’s mum’ll know what it means to your mum to make sure you’re safe, and I’m sure will be keen to make sure she can do that. Sorry it’s so late, I hope this helps! Does anyone else have any advice? xx
